Here are top five worst advises we often heard about Thailand from few people around us:
#1. The Full Moon Party
Don’t think it is going to be the place for all those ‘stuff’. We assure legal authorities would not let your travel be the way you have planned it to be. We have heard many people talk about it and that’s why we want to make your trip a success and no failure of this kind would be tolerated, right?
Don’t believe the people, who talk about this, when you hear them talk about it, just move on and do not get into something that’ll spoil your tour!
#2. Wildlife in Thailand
Is known throughout the world and its best to enjoy looking at them but not clicking the world famous-selfies because, that my friend can land you to the prison! Yes, Thailand is very strict in terms of its legalities about animal protection and would not compromise on these terms for the safety and better of its worldly known animals.
#3. Safety in Thailand
We’ve heard many people say that Thailand is not a very safe place to live or tour in but we’d like to make clear of one thing that we closely observed…no place is safe unless you yourself are. Be safe by avoiding any bad things come near you and that’s about it because nightlife doesn’t mean it’s always got to do with bad things, you just gotta stay away from the things that welcome trouble and that’s what can keep you at bay with all these kind of things.
#4. Robbery & Other Crimes
Thailand is NOT known for such things, it may be known wrongly but then which country doesn’t have these things in them?
You just need to stay safe yourself and keep the bad at bay! Do not ever link the best nightlife to such incidences cos trust us, it is just a myth. All you need to do is to avoid what you wouldn’t want to get into or rather just do what the local authorities would tell/advice you to.
#5. Now, this is something they don’t tell you to…
…but here’s a thing, every country/place has some set of rules they follow for respect and when that gets hampered, no one is cooperative or remains sweet anymore. There’s one in Thailand too.
NEVER POINT YOUR FEET AT ANYONE IN THAILAND
Yes, this is probably not what your traveller friend told you but you mustn’t because this means disrespect to the locales in Thailand and it truly has significance. In Buddhism, Foot is the most unclean part of the body and pointing it at someone is equal to insulting/disrespecting them. Hence, do keep this in mind.
Thailand is a beautiful place for travel and live in, keeping the myths aside, all you gotta do is make the most of it! And then there are the basics that we all know but like to ridicule it as not important.
Have a fun filled and safe tour to Thailand. Cheers!
